About this Mod

Wandering Cursebringer text in the minecraft logo style
NOTE: This mod is still in alpha, so balancing & textures are likely to change.

The Wandering Cursebringer is a new mob, occasionally spawning in your Minecraft world, selling you mystical curses you can apply to yourself, twisting your experience by adding some new challenge, in return for a buff.

Currently, there are only 4 curses you can use on yourself, but more are planned. The curses currently implemented are:

  • Curse of Gluttony: Your hunger bar depletes faster, but you can eat faster too.
  • Curse of the Glass Heart: Inspired by UHC, you can no longer naturally regenerate health, meaning you must use other methods to regain lost hearts, such as potions or golden apples. In return, you gain 5 extra max health.
  • Curse of Insomnia: You can no longer sleep in beds, but during the night you gain speed & damage.
  • Curse of Nyctophobia: Staying in the dark too long will begin to damage you, and cover your screen with a dark creeping overlay, the damage you deal goes up immensely as you stay in the dark too.

Currently planned features:

  • Cursed Spells, illager inspired spells sold by the Wandering Cursebringer.
  • Cursed Alter, a alter you can remove your curses at for the price of XP.
  • Many more curses
