About this Mod
Ever feel like Minecraft's forests are a bit... quiet? Wandering Wildlife aims to breathe new life into the world by introducing unique animals one at a time. Rather than adding hundreds of creatures, we focus on depth and personality, ensuring every addition feels like a natural part of the vanilla ecosystem.
This is the first release, and it's only the beginning. More creatures will join the world as development continues.
Red Panda
Introducing the Red Panda, a charming and expressive inhabitant of the bamboo forests. These little guys are masters of relaxation, often found sleeping away the daylight hours (and snoring quite loudly). While they are generally shy, they possess a unique "scare tactic"—standing on their hind legs to appear larger when approached.

If you want to befriend a Red Panda, you’ll need a few eggs and a bit of patience. Once you've earned their trust, they will no longer view you as a threat. To breed them, provide some fresh bamboo, just like their larger giant panda cousins.
Key behaviors:
- 💤 Diurnal Sleep: Naturally sleeps during the day; waking them abruptly will cause a brief panic.
- 🐾 Intimidation Display: Will stand on hind legs if a player or mob gets too close.
- 🛡️ Hostile Awareness: Readily spooked by nearby monsters.
⚙️ Compatibility
Wandering Wildlife is designed to be fully compatible with other mods. We aim to ensure our animals interact seamlessly with both vanilla and modded biomes.
