About this Mod

Weather Clouds adds two cloud blocks that create localized rain or snow.

Rain Clouds produce rain below them.
Snow Clouds produce snow and can build up snow layers on the ground.

The weather only exists under the cloud column and does not affect global world weather. The mod uses Minecraft’s vanilla weather renderer, so rain and snow look exactly the same as normal weather.

Multiple clouds can be placed together to create larger weather areas.

Cloud textures are based on assets from The Aether.
The idea of localized cloud weather was inspired by The Twilight Forest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Weather Clouds server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Weather Clouds officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Weather Clouds – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Weather Clouds consumes the most tick time.
