About this Mod

wordchars makes Minecraft's word detection work a bit more like bash's. That is to say...

Usually, when holding CMD or CTRL and pressing ← or →, the cursor moves to the next space between words in the appropriate direction. (the literal "space" character)

This mod makes it so that it moves to the next space, OR any of *?_-.[]~=/&;!#$%^(){}<>, just like most Linux terminals do.

How to Install wordchars on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "wordchars". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
