YapiFix
Fixes world generation crashes caused by Feature order cycles in modded biomes.
About this Mod
YapiFix — Universal Worldgen Crash Fix (Forge 1.20.1)
YapiFix is a lightweight compatibility patch mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 modpacks.
It is designed to prevent Feature order cycle found / FeatureSorter worldgen crashes caused by inconsistent placed-feature ordering between biome and worldgen mods.
What changed in 2.0.0
Earlier versions of YapiFix fixed a small number of known mod conflicts manually.
Starting with YapiFix 2.0.0, the mod uses a broader universal stabilization approach: it normalizes feature ordering after biome modifiers have finished running, helping prevent feature order cycles even when the exact conflicting mod pair is unknown.
What YapiFix does
Helps prevent FeatureSorter / feature order cycle crashes
Applies a deterministic feature order during world generation
Runs as a final compatibility pass after other biome modifiers
Keeps existing targeted fixes for known problematic cases
Works as an “install it and forget it” worldgen compatibility patch
What YapiFix does not do
Does not remove biome features
Does not remove biomes
Does not disable worldgen mods
Does not fix unrelated crashes caused by broken datapack JSON, missing registry entries, invalid configured features, or other mods’ mixins
Useful for modpacks with
Atmospheric
Biome Fest
Aromatic
Blueprint-based biome mods
Large modpacks with many biome/worldgen mods
Works with
Existing worlds
New worlds
Datapacks
Large modpacks
Target Minecraft Version
- Forge 1.20.1
Notes
YapiFix was created to fix real-world worldgen crashes in production modpacks.
Version 2.0.0 changes the philosophy of the mod: instead of only patching individual known conflicts, YapiFix now aims to prevent this entire class of feature-order crashes automatically.

YapiFix server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is YapiFix compatible with forge?
YapiFix officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with YapiFix – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if YapiFix consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
