Zombie Leather
A server-side mod to turn rotten flesh into leather
Screenshots

About this Mod
A super simple server-side mod for Fabric that adds the ability to turn rotten flesh into leather.
Features
- Using a campfire, you can turn rotten flesh into smoked rotten flesh, which can then be crafted into leather.
- Leatherworker villagers will trade smoked rotten flesh for emeralds.
To craft smoked rotten flesh into leather, put four in the crafting table (the shape doesn't matter).
Installation
This is a server-side only mod. When installed on a server, players can connect without installing anything. Installing on the client has no effect. Put the jar in your server's mods folder, and you're done!
To enable resource pack hosting, install Polymer and enable AutoHost. Otherwise, the Smoked Rotten Flesh item will use the rabbit hide texture by default.
Supported Languages:
- English (US)
- French (FR)

Server lagging with Zombie Leather – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Zombie Leather consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
