⚔ Mace Effects

Make every mace hit legendary. Explosions, lightning, confetti, a cartoon BONK, real slow motion, combo ranks, floating comic-book popups, and a roast for every kill. And for every miss.

💥 What it does

You fall from 30 blocks, slam a mace into a creeper's face... and the game just plays the normal sound. Not anymore.

• 6 hit effects: Explosion, Divine Smite (lightning), Confetti, BONK! (anvil sound + cartoon stars), Stars, Snowballs. Or set it to Random for a surprise every time.
• Scales with height: a quick tap gets a light effect, a smash gets the full show, and a kill gets the biggest one. The higher you fall, the louder it gets.
• Real slow motion on kills. The whole world slows down smoothly and eases back. No jitter, no fake interpolation.
• Floating popups in the world: BAM!, CRUNCH!, damage numbers like -18 ❤, and kill stamps like ☠ BACK TO SPAWN.
• Camera shake, FOV punch and screen flash on big hits.

😂 Every kill gets a roast

After each kill a joke pops up above your hotbar, picked to fit what just happened:

☠ KILL FROM 23 BLOCKS
Fell 23 blocks. Landing pad: Steve

• Smash kills: "Force = mass × 23 blocks of acceleration"
• 25+ blocks: "NASA confirms an object impact on Steve"
• Players: "Steve is already typing "hacks" in chat"
• ~45 mobs have their own lines:
  • Villager: "Hmm. HMM?! HMMMMM!!!"
  • Creeper: "Ssssss... BONK"
  • Warden: "Do you even realize WHAT you just did?!"
  • Cat: "WHY THE CAT?!"

✘ Missed? You'll hear about it

Fall 5+ blocks with a mace and hit nothing? You get a big MISS, a sad trombone, and something like:

"You attacked the ground. The ground was not impressed."

🔥 Combo ranks

Chain hits for ranks with their own sounds and particles:

WARMING UP (x3) → NAIL DRIVER (x5) → MACE-POCALYPSE (x10) → SOMEONE CALL AN ADMIN (x20) → GO TOUCH GRASS (x50)

🏆 Records

Lifetime kill count and your highest smash are saved. Beat your record and the game lets you know.

⚙ Settings: press J

Everything can be toggled: effect, mode, kill effect, mobs, slow-mo, sounds and volume, combo counter, jokes, popups, shake & flash. Hit ⚡ Test Drive to preview the current effect right in front of you, no victim required.

Modes:

• MLG: thunder, slow-mo, flashes, maximum drama.
• Orthodox: a bell and noble restraint.

📋 Info

Notes:

• Slow motion only works in singleplayer. On a server, time isn't yours to bend, so you get the flash and shake instead.
• Every effect is visual and client-side. The mod doesn't change damage or give any advantage.
• Jokes live in the language files as numbered keys (maceeffect.quip.kill.1, .2, ...), so a resource pack can add as many as it wants.
