Über diese Mod

Vanilla Delights is an addon for Farmer’s Delight that adds new dishes, drinks, and ingredients made mostly from vanilla Minecraft food. It also adds more freedom when building a kitchen, with customizable Cabinets, Stoves, Cooking Pots, and Cutting Boards.
So, what is this mod?
What is Vanilla Delights?
More dishes made from vanilla ingredients, a few new products that still fit into Minecraft, and a set of kitchen blocks you can customize instead of choosing from fixed variants.
Why does it exist?
I wanted more food and more variety than the original Farmer’s Delight gave me. So i added both.
What should you expect?
New ingredients, a lot of dishes made from vanilla products, food with different properties, and several ways to customize functional kitchen blocks.

Okay... so what’s actually in it?
This is probably one of my favourite mods i’ve made. There are new versions of familiar vanilla food, like the Enchanted Golden Carrot, together with new ingredients such as butter and caramel. They’re used across a bunch of new dishes, some made for general survival and some with their own effects or mechanics. And then there’s Pufferfish Soup :)
The Main Twist
A big part of the mod is kitchen customization.
Cooking Pots
Cooking Pots can be dyed in any of the 16 Minecraft colors. Click one with a dye and the color changes.

Cutting Boards
Cutting Boards use the texture of the wood they were crafted from, including supported modded wood types. There are also 5 patterns that can be found around the world and applied to them.

Modular Stove
The Modular Stove can use almost any block as its base material. Its fire style can also be changed with Shift + click with an empty hand.

Modular Cabinet
The Modular Cabinet goes a bit further. Its body, countertop, and handles can all use different block textures, and there are three door styles to choose from.

Patterned Cabinet
The Patterned Cabinet also lets you choose materials for the body and handles, while Shift + click with an empty hand switches between 11 different styles.

Customized blocks can be locked with the mod’s wax so other players can’t casually change the design. Useful if your friends have a very specific sense of humor :) Using an axe removes the customization if you want to redesign the block later. The material system also supports blocks that aren’t full cubes, including things like candles, cakes, and other blocks with unusual shapes.

Why I Made This
At first i just wanted more food made from simple Minecraft ingredients, preferably food that could also help save some inventory space. The customization part came later. I remembered Carpenter’s Blocks from older Minecraft versions and played with it again. I really liked how much freedom it gave you with materials, and i wanted something similar for the kitchen blocks in Farmer’s Delight. So i started experimenting with it. That’s where the modular stoves, cabinets, and cutting boards came from.
