About this Modpack

Souls: Survival

Your soul is drawn. Your lives are counted. The cards are dealt.

Souls: Survival is an Undertale-inspired multiplayer survival pack about identity, consequence, and chance. A randomly assigned Soul gives you a character to inhabit. Three lives make every expedition and every confrontation matter. And when words are no longer enough, The Cards Are Dealt gives you cards to wager, dice to roll, and weapons that can turn a fight on a single draw.

Build alliances. Make dangerous bargains. Explore a larger world for the power to protect the people you trust—or take that power from someone else.

Your Soul. Your Lives. Your Legacy.

At the heart of the pack is Souls Mod. When you enter the world, you receive a Soul type such as Determination, Bravery, Justice, Kindness, or Patience. Basic Souls give your character an identity without forcing you into a class or changing your stats. What that Soul means to your story is up to you and the people you play with.

Your three lives are much less forgiving. Any death costs one, whether it comes from another player, a mob, or a disastrous decision underground. Defeating another player can grant you a life, up to the life cap. There are other paths: craft an Artificial Heart, give someone a life through a signed book, or seek the deeper powers of the Soul Altar.

The Soul Altar turns survival into ritual. Fuel it with Soul Dust and Soul Lanterns to create lives, resurrect eliminated players, bind two Souls together, or infuse your own. Some altars can be discovered in the Nether and awakened through an offering. You can even sacrifice part of your life to make your Soul into an item—but while it exists, whoever destroys it can kill you instantly. Power always has a price.

Rare Souls add powers and new risks to the story:

Draconic rewards each life you still hold with extra health.

Corrupted grows stronger by corrupting other players through elimination.

Vigil can find and weaken the empowered Souls it was made to oppose.

Omnipotent keeps changing the basic Soul you carry, making your identity unpredictable.

You can also Soul-bind with another player and share a pool of five lives. Every death then belongs to both of you. If your own lives run out, the story can continue in Ghost Mode: reveal yourself, leave messages or footprints, and possess mobs while you wait for a chance to return.

The Cards Are Dealt

The Cards Are Dealt (TCAD) brings a different kind of danger into that world. Craft colored cards and bring them to a Card-ography Table for a rock-paper-scissors-style game against another player or an AI opponent. Put items on the line in a player wager, read your opponent, and decide when to risk what you have earned.

The cards are also weapons. The Deal-Breaker is a deck built from colored cards and dart frog drops. Draw it to cycle through three attacks: blue strikes one target hard, red passes through multiple targets while slowing and burning them, and yellow stuns its first target. The right card at the right moment can change a battle.

TCAD's dice make chance physical. Throw and reroll colored dice, combine several into a single throw, or send them out of a dispenser. Big Dice can be kept airborne for combos; Weighted Dice let you tilt the odds. The Die-Caster fires dice as ammunition, with damage determined by the roll. Its Luck and Ricochet enchantments let you chase stronger shots or bounce them around cover. Even a skeleton may appear carrying one.

Watch the wildlife, too. Poison Dart Frogs and Magma Dart Frogs provide ingredients for unusual brews, including a Potion of Paralysis and a Potion of Magma Skin that lets you swim through lava. TCAD gives you reasons to explore, prepare, challenge friends, and gamble on your next move.

A World Worth Risking a Life For

Travel farther

Regions Unexplored fills the Overworld and Nether with new biomes, while Souls Mod adds shrines and Soul Altar structures to discover.

Earn the End

End Remastered sends you after special eyes hidden through exploration and boss fights. When you finally open the portal, True Ending makes the Ender Dragon a more elaborate final battle.

Make a home between battles

Kaleidoscope Cookery and its Nether, End, and Tavern additions bring new food, brewing, and places to gather. Extra creatures, flowers, and building details help the world feel lived in.

Play together comfortably

Proximity voice chat with server setup, recipe and block information, storage and crafting conveniences, richer sound and visual effects, shader support through Iris, and a collection of performance mods round out the pack.

The next Soul could be an ally.
The next card could be a weapon.
The next death could change everything.

Gather your friends, deal the cards, and see whose story survives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Souls: Survival server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Souls: Survival server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €7.800000000000001/month).

Can I add custom mods to Souls: Survival without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (26.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Souls: Survival server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
