About this Modpack
Superb Warfare Expanded is a military-focused Minecraft modpack featuring modern weapons, vehicles, aircraft, artillery and engineering.
The main focus is combat and military gameplay, but the pack also gives you room to build your own bases, factories and infrastructure. Mods like Superb Warfare, TACZ, Create and Create Big Cannons work together to add weapons, vehicles, artillery and engineering without completely changing the feel of Minecraft.

Gameplay
You can play on your own or with friends. Build a base, prepare your equipment, set up production and take your vehicles into combat.
The pack is built around open-ended military gameplay, so there is no single way to play it. You can focus on infantry combat, build and operate vehicles, work on your own military base, or use Create to build production and artillery systems.
In multiplayer you can gather your squad, capture strategic locations, take part in large-scale battles, construct bases and combine infantry, vehicles and aircraft.
Forge vs NeoForge
The pack is available on both Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge and Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge, but the two versions are not identical.
1.21.1 (NeoForge): Main Branch
This is the main branch of the pack and the version where long-term development is focused. It was moved to NeoForge because most upstream mods no longer support Forge on newer Minecraft versions.
NeoForge also has access to performance mods such as Lithium and Sodium, which are used in this branch and are not part of the 1.20.1 Forge setup.
The main downside is content availability. Some TACZ addons and other military modules have not been ported to NeoForge yet, so the 1.21.1 version currently has a smaller selection of weapons, attachments and related content. Some components also rely on community ports while official NeoForge support is still unavailable.
1.20.1 (Forge): Full Content
This version currently has the larger selection of military content and addons, especially TACZ content, attachments and other military-related addons. New updates usually arrive on 1.20.1 first.
Choose 1.21.1 NeoForge if you want the main branch, the newer Minecraft version and the additional performance options. Choose 1.20.1 Forge if you want the larger content set and the earliest updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Superb Warfare expanded server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Superb Warfare expanded server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €7.800000000000001/month).
Can I add custom mods to Superb Warfare expanded without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Superb Warfare expanded server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
