NOTE: As of Minecraft 1.21.2 this bug appears to be fixed! The latest version of the mod (3.0.1) should now be compatible with EVERY version of Iris/Oculus that includes the bug.

About

This mod fixes horse markings appearing above horse armor when using the Iris or Oculus shaders mods.

Basically, this mod checks everything being rendered to see if it contains "horse", "armor", or "markings" and if it finds anything, it forces it to be rearranged. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable performance hit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Bad Horse Fix need to be installed on the Minecraft server?

No. Modrinth marks Bad Horse Fix as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.

Which version and loader does Bad Horse Fix require?

Use a file for fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.6. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.

Bad Horse Fix is not working – what should I check?

First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
