❗ What's this?!

CameraOverhaul is a highly configurable clientside Minecraft mod that attempts to improve overall satisfaction of the game through the introduction of various camera rotations, emphasizing the player's movement and improving visual feedback.
Strafing and turning around will tilt the camera sideways. Jumping, falling, and moving forward or backwards will affect the camera's pitch. Nearby explosions will shake the screen, and ceasing movement for enough time will cause the camera to gently sway around while waiting for your input.

⚙️ Configuration?!

You can use in-game configuration screens (Mod Menu if on Fabric/Quilt) to configure the mod in-game.

You can also manually edit the well-documented configuration file with intensity scaling for all features at

.minecraft/config/cameraoverhaul.toml.

Set any factor to 0.0 to turn its feature off.

Negative numbers are also usually legal, allowing inverting effects, if that's your thing.

How to Install Camera Overhaul on Your Client

Install the Mod Loader Locally

Install fabric for your local Minecraft version.

Download the Matching File

Choose the Camera Overhaul file for fabric and Minecraft 26.2.

Install Mod

Place the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and restart Minecraft. No server-side installation is required.

Does Camera Overhaul need to be installed on the Minecraft server?

No. Modrinth marks Camera Overhaul as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.

Which version and loader does Camera Overhaul require?

Use a file for fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.

Camera Overhaul is not working – what should I check?

First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
