About this Mod
What...what is "Cave Dust"?
I'm glad you asked! It's just a mod that adds the white ash particle from the Basalt Deltas biome to the underground to simulate dust! After all, the air wouldn't be 100% clear in a real mineshaft :p
Now to the nitty gritty: It works by checking if the player has the sky above them while being below sea level and then scales the amount of particles based on depth.
It has a config system that you can access using Mod Menu, most things you can change in-game, but to change the particle you'll need to open the config file manually :)
As a note, it doesn't activate in the Lush Caves biome, since it already has it's own particles :p
This was inspired by Dylanstime in the moonflower Discord server, thanks for the idea!
Dependencies
Cave Dust requires the Fabric API but everything else Cave Dust needs is included. HOWEVER, I recommend Mod Menu to be able to use the config screen :p

Does Cave Dust need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks Cave Dust as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does Cave Dust require?
Use a file for fabric, forge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 26.1.2, 1.21.8, 1.21.5. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
Cave Dust is not working – what should I check?
First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
