About this Mod
This mod requires MixinBootstrap (curseforge, modrinth) to run!
Mixin 0.7-0.8 Compatibility (curseforge, modrinth) might be helpful when another mod uses an older mixin version and you are thus unable to launch the game.
Nothirium is a client-side only mod that changes Minecraft's chunk rendering engine to use modern OpenGL which greatly increases performance. This mod is similar to Sodium but this is not a port of Sodium.

Partial Incompatibilities
- Optifine: Make sure that 'Smart Animations' is disabled in the graphics settings. Also custom block render layers from Optifine won't work with Nothirium.
- VanillaFix: Make sure that 'textureFixes' is disabled in the VanillaFix config.
- CensoredASM: Make sure that 'onDemandAnimatedTextures' is disabled in the CensoredASM/LoliASM config.

How to Install Nothirium on Your Client
Install the Mod Loader Locally
Install forge for your local Minecraft version.
Download the Matching File
Choose the Nothirium file for forge and Minecraft 1.12.2.
Install Mod
Place the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and restart Minecraft. No server-side installation is required.

Does Nothirium need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks Nothirium as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does Nothirium require?
Use a file for forge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.12.2. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
Nothirium is not working – what should I check?
First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
