Description
Ever wanted to play a modpack that has one of the following? Combat / magic / decoration / engineering / performance / dynamism / funny / minecrafty
Why not have it all together?
This modpacks aims to bring fresh air to minecraft, featuring all the available mods I found in each version, from the 1.14.4 onwards for Fabric, Forge, Quilt and Neoforge, that are up to the task of making the best modpack possible (from my perspective), so you don't have to, and you only do the enjoyable part, playing, yourself or with your imaginary friends!
Important
Recommendations
- The game comes preconfigurated to best performance and whith most keybinds unbounded so that you can configure it to your likings.
- Just use one backpack per player.
- Don't use Minecraft built in tp's, use the waystones instead.
- If you place a waystone, you mustn't move it! You can only "reacomate" it.
- Right usage e.g. you place a waystone in your base, and when you make your house you "reacomodate" it so that it is inside your house.
- Wrong usage e.g. you place a waystone in your base and always have one in your inventory when you explore, so you can put it to go back to base, and after using it you break it to use it later.
- Use Chunky to pregenerate the world and any dimensions you'd like so that the client / server doesn't need to generate the world in your face generating lag and low fps, Github wiki.
- If you want to back up your wolrd (client or server) use Fastback, it makes it quicker and easier, Github wiki.
- If playing on a server use the
/gamerule playersSleepingPercentage 0so that you can pass the night with just one player sleeping. - If you dislike any mod or want to add one, don't think it twice! Just go to the options of the profile and 'unpair' it, so that you can add and remove mods on your own will.
Old versions WON'T RUN UNLESS you open them with Java 17
Versions prior to 1.17 (exluding Forge versions 1.14.4 • 1.15.2), must use Java 17, otherwise the game won't start.
How to cahnge the Java version in the Modrinth Launcher:
Select the Instance you want to run >>> Go to 'options' >>> Under the Java section, check 'override global Java instances' >>> Click on 'auto detect' and choose a Java installation that is in the 17.0 or newer.
If you don't see any:
Go to the general settings of the launcher (the gear) >>> Under the Java settings section, click 'Install recomended' next to 'Java 17 location' >>> Then do the previous steps.
To enable Simple Voice Chat and AutoModpack mods
You will have to port forward the following ports on the server:
Simple Voice Chat >>> Port: 24454. Protocol: UDP.
AutoModpack >>> Port: 30037. Protocol: TCP.

A: The BMBP modpack always look to bring the best experience available trying to exceed each previous editions when updated. It aims to be the most enjoyable experience.

How to Set Up a Performance Enhancer Next Mods - PENM Server
Order Server
Choose at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended for Performance Enhancer Next Mods - PENM). Based on player count: per 5 players.
Install Modpack in Dashboard
Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Performance Enhancer Next Mods - PENM" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.20.1 are configured automatically.
Start Server & Play
Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!
Frequently Asked Questions
Performance Enhancer Next Mods - PENM server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Performance Enhancer Next Mods - PENM server really need?
Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €5.2/month).
Can I add custom mods to Performance Enhancer Next Mods - PENM without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time.
