Alternate Recipe Research
Choose which Alternate Recipe to research with your hard-earned hard drives
Description
Adds 6 research trees to the MAM where you can research Alternate Recipes.
Each tree has a milestone tier associated with it, and all milestones for that tier need to be completed in order for the research tree to be unlocked.
Each research node will cost at least 1 hard drive and some may also require 1 of 1-3 other items. The additional items are intended to match the same requirements that would need to be met before you would be able to obtain the Alternate Recipe through standard Hard Drive research.
For example, in order to get the Alternate Recipe for Caterium Wire, which lets you craft Wire from Caterium Ingots, you will need to pay 1 Caterium Ingot in addtion to a Hard Drive to "prove" you have unlocked that portion of the Caterium Research tree.
When you first load the game after installing this mod you may see a "Schematic Unlocked" message, this is simply bringing the new Research Trees up to date with any Alternate Recipes you've already unlocked.

Indifferent Broccoli provides the server I use to test Dedicated Server mod support, and I highly recommend them. Frequently Asked Questions
Alternate Recipe Research not working after update – what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Alternate Recipe Research has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
Alternate Recipe Research causing crashes in multiplayer – solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Alternate Recipe Research v1.2.0 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is Alternate Recipe Research compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
Alternate Recipe Research uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
