Description

Some Painting/Customizer QoL Tweaks
Customization Eye Dropper
Automatic Pipe Coloring according to current fluid
Retain color when upgrading buildings

Eye Dropper

Adds a hotkey (default Ctrl+Q) for Customization sampling/Eye dropper. The type of customization sampled depends on which type of customization state you are in. If you're in Paint Mode then it will sample paint colors (including custom!). If in Material Mode then it will sample materials. And same for Patterns and Skins.

Automatic Pipe Painting

This is OFF by default and must be enabled in Mod Savegame Settings. Because there is no easy way to "undo" this feature once it has been used, I thought it best to keep it off initially.

Pipes, Pipe Attachments, Pipe Supports, and Fluid Storage will automatically be colored according to the fluid they are carrying. This also works for modded fluids and most modded pipe attachments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Persistent Paintables not working after update – what to do?

After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Persistent Paintables has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.

Persistent Paintables causing crashes in multiplayer – solution

Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Persistent Paintables v1.6.0 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.

Is Persistent Paintables compatible with other Satisfactory mods?

Persistent Paintables uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
