About this Mod
Applied Extended Crafting
Applied Extended Crafting is an addon that provides deep integration between Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) and Extended Crafting.
Its goal is to allow AE2’s autocrafting system to fully handle the advanced crafting mechanics introduced by Extended Crafting.
Currently, the mod implements 7 different Automation Assemblers, covering all major crafting mechanics from Extended Crafting.
Supported Automation Types
| Category | Supported Content |
|---|---|
| Four Crafting Table Automations | Basic Table, Advanced Table, Elite Table, Ultimate Table |
| Three Special Crafting Automations | Ender Crafting, Flux Crafting, Combination Crafting |
This means the entire Extended Crafting production chain can now be integrated into the ME Network, allowing large and complex recipes to be managed directly by AE2’s autocrafting system.
New Blocks Overview
| Block Name | Crafting Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Table Assembler | Basic Table Recipes | Automatically processes Basic Crafting Table recipes |
| Advanced Table Assembler | Advanced Table Recipes | Automatically processes Advanced Crafting Table recipes |
| Elite Table Assembler | Elite Table Recipes | Automatically processes Elite Crafting Table recipes |
| Ultimate Table Assembler | Ultimate Table Recipes | Automatically processes Ultimate Crafting Table recipes |
| Ender Crafter Assembler | Ender Crafter Recipes | Automatically processes Ender Crafter recipes |
| Flux Crafter Assembler | Flux Crafter Recipes | Automatically processes Flux Crafter recipes |
| Combination Core Assembler | Combination Crafting Recipes | Automatically processes Combination Crafting recipes |
General Usage
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Connect the assembler to your AE2 ME Network |
| 2 | Create an AE2 Processing Pattern based on the original Extended Crafting recipe |
| 3 | Insert the pattern into the correct type of assembler |
| 4 | Ensure the assembler meets the extra conditions required by that crafting type |
| 5 | You can now request the item directly from the ME Terminal like any normal AE2 autocrafting task |
How Each Assembler Works
Crafting Table Assemblers (4 Tiers)
Create a Processing Pattern that matches the original Extended Crafting table recipe and place it in the assembler with the corresponding tier.
Requirements:
- The pattern inputs and outputs must match the original recipe
- The assembler tier must match the recipe tier
Ender Crafter Assembler
Create a Processing Pattern for the Ender Crafter recipe and place it inside the assembler.
Requirements:
- An Ender Alternator must be nearby
- The more Alternators present, the faster the crafting speed
Flux Crafter Assembler
Create a Processing Pattern for the Flux Crafter recipe and insert it into the assembler.
Requirements:
- A powered Flux Alternator must be nearby
- The assembler will consume energy from the Alternator during crafting
Combination Core Assembler
Create a Processing Pattern for the Combination Crafting recipe and insert it into the assembler.
Requirements:
- Place the required number of Pedestal items into the assembler interface
- The assembler will automatically:
- Detect the central ingredient
- Detect the surrounding ingredients
- Use AE network energy to complete the crafting process
Design Philosophy
The goal of Applied Extended Crafting is to transform Extended Crafting from something that is possible but difficult to automate into something that can be fully managed within the AE2 autocrafting system.
With this mod:
- All four crafting table tiers
- Ender Crafting
- Flux Crafting
- Combination Crafting
can now be integrated into the ME autocrafting network.
This allows players to build centralized, scalable, and fully automated production systems that extend AE2’s automation capabilities into the entire Extended Crafting ecosystem.
If you want to push AE2 automation further into the world of Extended Crafting, this mod is built exactly for that purpose.
