Installation Requirements
This version of Create runs on Forge and NeoForge. Install one of these loaders before adding Create to your game.
Alternatively, you can find a ported project compatible with the Fabric ecosystem here.
As of 0.5.1, the rendering library Flywheel no longer has to be installed separately.

About
Welcome to Create, a mod offering a variety of tools and blocks for Building, Decoration and Aesthetic Automation.
The added elements of tech are designed to leave as many design choices to the player as possible. With Create, the game isn't played inside a bunch of UIs, it challenges you to setup contraptions of animated components working together in many possible arrangements.
Create's visual in-game documentation called 'Ponder' will guide you though all added mechanics and gadgets.
Important: In order to be able to see all recipes required in Create, consider installing JEI. The vanilla recipe book will not be able to guide you through the experience by itself.

How to Install Create on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Create". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Create Mod: Contraptions causing severe server lag – how to fix?
Create contraptions are single entities simulating many blocks. The larger the build, the more tick time consumed. Fixes: 1) Limit contraption size to 128 blocks max (create-server.toml → maxBlocksMoved). 2) Reduce server view-distance to 10 – contraptions only simulate in loaded chunks. 3) Avoid rotating contraptions across chunk borders. With Mado Hosting, you can edit create-server.toml directly via the panel.
Using Create with Mekanism/Thermal together – any conflicts?
Create, Mekanism, and Thermal Expansion are fundamentally compatible since they use different energy systems (SU vs. FE). However, recipe conflicts for copper/zinc processing are common – install KubeJS or CraftTweaker to adjust recipes. RAM recommendation increases to at least 6 GB with these combined.
Create server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Known Issues & Server Tips
- ⚠Large contraptions (>200 blocks) can cause "Ticking Entity" crashes when crossing chunk borders.
- ⚠Create Flywheel (client-side mod) causes no server issues but significantly improves client FPS.
- ⚠Smeltery recipes can conflict with other tech mods – check /create ponder for correct recipes.
Server Configuration
Recommended create-server.toml settings: maxBlocksMoved=128, maxBlocksInAssembleArea=256, maxFluidTransferRate=256. JVM: -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=130.
