....is a Minecraft mod that allows you to attack mobs through any non-collidable objects like grass and cobweb!
This mod may be used in any modpack.
This mod ONLY needs to be installed on the CLIENT!
INSTALLING ON THE SERVER OPTS OUT THE MOD FOR ALL CLIENTS. (2.1.0+ ONLY)
The content in this page only applies to mod versions marked as 2.0.0 & higher. Versions below may be buggy and only support Fabric!

❓ FAQ
- Does this work for other blocks other than grass?
- Yes! Any non-collidable block should work. Non-collidable meaning that the blockstate given has no collision. E.g. portals, open trapdoors, single layer snow.
- Sometimes I still break blocks when attacking mobs!
- You likely missed your attack or on an outdated version of the mod. 2.0.2+ versions of the mod have a line of code to delay the player from accidentally breaking a block only if they hit an entity.
- Will the mod work for versions of Minecraft not listed?
- Usually yes for mod versions 2.+ and Minecraft versions 1.20.5+. The mod is made with almost little to no code which makes it automatically compatible with most upcoming versions of the game (including snapshots!). If you find that the mod does not work, report it to GitHub!
- Can I opt out of this mod on my server? (2.1.0+ ONLY)
- Yes! Just download the mod onto your server, and the server-sided code will disable the mod's client side functionality for everyone else using it.

Does Attack Through Grass need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks Attack Through Grass as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does Attack Through Grass require?
Use a file for fabric, forge, neoforge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
Attack Through Grass is not working – what should I check?
