About this Mod

Backup manager

A small client-side-only mod that allows the player to restore backups from FTB Backups 2, Simple Backups, or even vanilla backups.

Once installed you will see a new option on the world select screen, This will give you access to the backup manager UI.

You can then select any backup you wish to restore and restore it with a single click and

stop the need for manually extracting and moving files around outside of Minecraft.

How to Install Backup Manager on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Backup Manager". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Backup Manager server crashes on startup – what to do?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Backup Manager consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
