Dynamic Flight Control
Dynamic Flight Control completely revamps how you fly in Minecraft. Instead of constantly mashing Space and Shift to move up and down, fly effortlessly in the direction you are looking, just like an Elytra, but with full creative flight precision.
✨ Features
- Directional 3D Flight - Your crosshair controls vertical movement. Look up to ascend, look down to descend.
- Smooth 3D Glide & Deceleration - Enjoy realistic, uniform coasting in all directions when letting go of controls.
- Smooth Glide or Instant Stop - Gives additional Instant Stop option (Minecraft java already has smooth glide stop function)
- Full Movement Control - WASD for horizontal steering, with Space/Shift for vertical overrides.
- Configurable Settings (Saved Per Player):
/flight speed <0.1-2.0>- Adjust your flight speed multiplier./flight groundlock <true|false>- Choose whether touching the ground automatically exits flight mode./flight instantstop <true|false>- Toggle between instant halt (Bedrock-style) and momentum gliding./flight reset- Restore all settings back to default.
🎮 How to Use
- Install the mod on client & server (or singleplayer).
- Enter Creative mode (or have flight enabled).
- Double-tap Space to activate flight.
- Look wherever you want to go and you will fly directly in that direction!
- Double-tap Space again to stop flying.

How to Install Dynamic Flight Control on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Dynamic Flight Control". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Dynamic Flight Control server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Dynamic Flight Control compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Dynamic Flight Control officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.2, 1.21.11, 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Dynamic Flight Control – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Dynamic Flight Control consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
