Dynamic Surroundings
Alters the fabric of Minecraft experience by weaving a tapestry of sound and visual effects
About this Mod
Features
Enhanced Sound Processing - sounds playing in 3d space will have a reverb effect based on the surrounding materials.
Individual Sound Control - Set key bind and activate in-game. Use this feature to block, cull, and control the volume at which sounds play. And as a bonus you can play the sound to hear it.
Biome sounds - Various atmospheric sounds that play based on biomes in the area. Seamless blending of sounds as the player moves throughout the world. (This does not replace the Minecraft feature of a singular biome background sound. Currently, the various biomes in the Nether use this capability, and Dynamic Surroundings does not have sound configurations for that dimension.)
Hot block effects such as flame jets over lava, and steam where water hits a hot block. Hot blocks are things like Lava and Magma.
Replace Minecraft's thunder sound with improved versions.
Various "DS" client side commands for dumping configuration information. (These are currently used by me while developing. I do plan on documenting at some point for general use.)
Custom debug HUD that can be accessed by key bind. Moves the Dynamic Surroundings clutter out of the traditional F3 display.

Does Dynamic Surroundings need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks Dynamic Surroundings as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does Dynamic Surroundings require?
Use a file for fabric, neoforge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.21.1, 1.20.4, 1.20.1. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
Dynamic Surroundings is not working – what should I check?
First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
