Armored Elytra

About the mod

This mod adds armored elytra to the game.

Forging

You can combine any chestplate with an elytra in the anvil to forge an armored elytra.

Splitting

You can split the armored elytra in the grindstone to get back your original items.

Server side

All logic is handled on the server, client side install is only required for item icon and player model rendering.

Client side rendering

Player model

If installed on client side both the elytra and the chestplate is visible.

Custom item icons

Armor type, trim color and leather color icons with elytra at the back.

Custom icons are visible for players who have the mod installed on the client.

Resourcepacks

The mod no longer uses a custom resourcepack for the combined item icons. It modifies to the code to actually render the two items on top of each other with a slight vertical offset. Any custom texture pack is supported, but might not totally correct depending on the item icons. (Any size x16, x32, etc...)

The previous resourcepack Armored-Elytra-Icons-v1.14.0.zip will continue to work for default minecraft armors for players who do not install the mod on their client, but play on servers that use this mod. (Might drop support in the future, as a server owner please recommend installing the mod for players if possible.)

Elytra Trims	Elytra Trims Fabric 4.8.2 for 26.2	Armored Elytra can be made with elytra items already having armor trims. Both Armor and elytra trims will show on item icons and player models.
Detail Armor Bar Reconstructed	5.3.2-26.2-fabric	Armor bar will show armor and elytra icons for Armored Elytra items. (Enable multi line armor bars in the mod options when wearing full set of armor)

Datapacks

Stellarity	5.5.5+mod	Armored Elytra will have Stellarity specific item attributes like lower gravity.
Vanilla Tweaks - Armored Elytra	v2.0.11 for 26.2	Armored elytra items made with this datapack will have combined item icon and combined player model rendering shown above. Splitting the item inside the GrindStone inventory will also work.
