About this Mod
FastLeafDecay
Leaves normally hang around for a while after you cut down a tree. This plugin makes them fall off right after the last log is gone, with a bit of particles and sound so it doesn't look like they just vanish.
How it works
When a log is broken, the plugin looks at the area around it and finds leaves that are no longer connected to any log. Those leaves are then removed in small batches, in random order. Leaves that belong to a nearby tree stay, and leaves placed by players are never touched.
Features
- Fast decay after a tree is chopped down
- Normal drops (saplings, sticks, apples), Fortune is supported
- Particles and sounds, each can be turned off
- Slight slowdown while you stand inside decaying leaves
- Works with all leaf types, including modded-style names ending in
_LEAVES - Languages: English, Russian, Ukrainian
- Update notification in console

FastLeafDecay server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong bukkit version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is FastLeafDecay compatible with bukkit and fabric and folia and forge and neoforge and paper and purpur and spigot?
FastLeafDecay officially supports bukkit, fabric, folia, forge, neoforge, paper, purpur, spigot for Minecraft 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with FastLeafDecay – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if FastLeafDecay consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
