Game Stages
An API for adding stages, for modpacks and other mods to use!
About this Mod
This mod provides a framework for creating progression systems in modpacks. These progression systems are based on stages which are player specific flags used to track their progress. Using other mods and addons you can configure the game to react differently to a player depending on the stages they have unlocked. While the term stage may imply a linear progression they can be used for virtually all types of progression systems. Some common examples of this include using stages for RPG classes and skills, Pack modes (expert, hardcore, easy), and branching quests.

Game Stages server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Game Stages compatible with forge?
Game Stages officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.3, 1.20.2, 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Game Stages – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Game Stages consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
