About this Mod
Description
Choose an Origin and begin your game with special abilities, some of which help you out, while others hinder you in your gameplay. The different Origins all have a different impact on the vanilla gameplay. If you don't like these at all, you can also pick the "Human" origin while playing with friends on a server.
Currently featuring 9 Origins (+ Human):

Data-driven
Origins is very data-driven, allowing you to add, modify and remove origins as you like. There is an active community of data pack makers on the Discord, with ready-made data packs for you to download and enjoy, as well as for getting help if you want to try your hand at creating your own data pack.
If you want to get started, I suggest visiting the wiki of the mod on GitHub: https://github.com/apace100/origins-fabric/wiki
Community
There are a lot of enthusiasts of the mod and people who make data packs on the Discord! There are channels for discussion, posting origin ideas, sharing data packs, and more. You'll find me there from time to time as well. :)

Origins Mod: Creating custom origins for your server – how?
Custom origins are created as datapacks. 1) Create a datapack with the folder structure data/<namespace>/origins/<origin>.json. 2) Upload the datapack via SFTP to the /datapacks folder of your world. 3) Restart the server. For addon mods like "Origins: Classes" – install these via the mod browser in the Mado dashboard.
Origins server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Known Issues & Server Tips
