About this Mod
Information
ProtoManly's weather is a weather mod using raymarched shaders to render storms. Currently includes Clouds, Rain, Thunderstorms, Cyclones, Squalls, Supercells, and Tornadoes. Tornadoes can be destructive, and will change your world and tear down your creations.
Do not install if you do not want your world to be changed by weather
The mod is fairly configurable, allowing you to change multiple facets regarding storms and tornadoes, aswell as their spawn chances, size, strengthening chances, etc.
Performance
Your PC must be somewhat modern to run this mod well, but included are options to help performance for slower PCs (at the cost of visuals)
Minimum GPUs: NVIDIA GTX 1650 SUPER / AMD Radeon RX 5600XT
Recommended GPUs: NVIDIA RTX 3060 / AMD Radeon RX 6600XT

How to Install ProtoManly's Weather on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "ProtoManly's Weather". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

ProtoManly's Weather server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is ProtoManly's Weather compatible with neoforge?

Server lagging with ProtoManly's Weather – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ProtoManly's Weather consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
