About this Mod

PurplePing

Silly Fabric client mod that simulates high ping by delaying network packets (client to server and/or server to client) inside Minecraft’s Netty connection pipeline.

How to use?

Command	Usage	Description
.ptoggle	`.ptoggle`	Toggles, the mod ON or OFF. Turning it off immediately flushes all pending packets as well and set amount is reset.
.ping	`.ping <send\|recv> <ms>`	Sets the delay in ms. Use `send` for packets from you. Or `recv` for packets you receive!

An example for you:

.ping send 200 (Adds 200ms delay to your clicks/attacks) !!

Installation

Have a fabric loader! Fabric Loader!
Download the PurplePing .jar file from Releases or build it from src.
Drop the mod into your mods folder!
Launch the game!
Profit.

How to Install PurplePing on Your Client

Install the Mod Loader Locally

Install fabric for your local Minecraft version.

Download the Matching File

Choose the PurplePing file for fabric and Minecraft 1.21.11.

Install Mod

Place the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and restart Minecraft. No server-side installation is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does PurplePing need to be installed on the Minecraft server?

No. Modrinth marks PurplePing as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.

Which version and loader does PurplePing require?

Use a file for fabric and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.

PurplePing is not working – what should I check?

First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
