About this Mod
RyoamicLights
LambDynamicLights unofficial architectury port.

π What's this mod?
This mod adds dynamic lights to Minecraft. Dynamic lights are lights created by an entity holding an
item which makes light as a block, or created by an entity on fire, etc.

What's this name?
Now the name wasn't even born in the beginning, it was going to be called TexTrue's Dynamic Lights, but I don't really like having anything named after me, and then I started to think about combining Dynamic Lights with other Japanese anime character names, and realized that Ryo Yamada ("Bocchi The Rock!" Kessoku Band's bassist) was the best choice (maybe?).
β Features:
- Dynamic lights.
- Settings to select how smooth the dynamic lighting is.
- Works with some modded items.
- Any entity holding an item which emits light will emit light!
- Magma cubes emit light.
- Spectral arrows emit light.
- Burning entities emit light.
- Blazes emit light.
- Some items like torches, soul torches, etc. will not light up in water.
- Quick and simple API for developers.
- And more!
π Usage
Using this mod is very simple!
Install it in your mods folder along with ObsidianUI
, (and Sodium (Fabric/Quilt)/Embeddium (Fabric/Forge/NeoForge) if wanted for better performances).
You will notice nothing at first but if you go into the video options or into the settings screen of the mod via Mod List, you will notice an option called Dynamic Lights which is by default off, choose the wanted configuration and enjoy!
You can also configure the mod by editing the file in config/ryoamiclights.toml.
π Compatibility
- Sodium (Fabric/Quilt)/Embeddium (Forge/NeoForge) is recommended for better performances.
- OptiFine/OptiForge/OptiFabric is obviously incompatible.

Does RyoamicLights need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks RyoamicLights as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does RyoamicLights require?
Use a file for fabric, forge, neoforge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.6. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
RyoamicLights is not working β what should I check?
First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
