About this Mod
A complete redesign of Minecraft's dungeons like never before. YUNG's Better Dungeons redesigns vanilla dungeons while also adding three new dungeons: Catacombs, Fortresses of the Undead, and Spider Caves!
1.19.2 introduces the Nether Update! Now you can find small Nether dungeons scattered throughout the Nether. Note that this is an extra opt-in feature, meaning you will need to manually enable it in the mod's config.
YUNG's Better Dungeons is intended to be fully compatible with every worldgen mod, including:
- YUNG's Better Mineshafts
- YUNG's Better Strongholds
- YUNG's Extras
- YUNG's Bridges
- Repurposed Structures. RS also offers a custom data pack you can use in addition to the mod that adds repurposed versions of the small dungeons from Better Dungeons! Check it out here.

How to Install YUNG's Better Dungeons on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "YUNG's Better Dungeons". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

YUNG's Better Dungeons server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is YUNG's Better Dungeons compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
YUNG's Better Dungeons officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 1.21.4. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with YUNG's Better Dungeons – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if YUNG's Better Dungeons consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
