Ever wondered how high you have dragged the lift top out while building? Been annoyed that your stackable poles became too tall because you couldn't see how high you made it? Well, now you can see this if you install this mod.
Currently does this to the Build Gun when in use:
- Shows the length and angle of conveyor belts
- Shows the height of conveyor poles and lifts
- Shows the length and angle of pipelines
- Shows the height of pillars
- Shows the <a href="https://github.com/SifVerT/SifDocs/blob/main/Pages/BuildGunUtilities.adoc#relative-position-relative-pos">relative position</a> of projected holograms depending on spawn coordinates
- Shows the absolute position of holograms (optional)
- Shows the absolute position of existing buildings when in dismantle mode (optional)
- Can <a href="https://github.com/SifVerT/SifDocs/blob/main/Pages/BuildGunUtilities.adoc#remove-terrain-assets">destroy terrain elements</a> in dismantle mode (optional)
- <a href="https://github.com/SifVerT/SifDocs/blob/main/Pages/BuildGunUtilities.adoc#mass-dismantle">Mass Dismantle</a> - Use Delete to see area of effect, Ctrl-Delete to change diameter and Shift-Delete to mark things within the sphere. Dismantle as usual. The feature does give back the materials used for construction.
- Can set Build Gun Range and Delay
- Move Buildable
Little documentation exists for Move Buildable right now but the feature is enabled while in Dismantle Mode using Left Shift (default) and mode is set using the Left Alt key - Select between Mouse Look Movement or Key Movement.
The Move Buildable feature is a toggle, use Left Shift again to turn it off (will currently glitch if not toggled off - oversight).
When using Key Movement the WASD keys are used to move the building around 2D (X/Y), jump and crouch are used for Up/Down (Z) and Numpad + and - for Rotation. Scroll wheel is used for changing the movement speed.
Move Buildable allows multi-target movement using the Keys mode - select buildings by selecting additional dismantle targets and then toggle the feature on.
Keybindings can be customized.
Tip 1: For 'Relative Position' to work as a good measuring stick when building such as pillars/beams to build a flat, for example, Hypertube, use the pillar/beam hotbar to spawn a hologram on top of the other pillar/beam you want the new one to align with as the top of the pillar/beam will be 0, 0, 0. I used this method when building my latest Hypertube and it worked pretty well. It then becomes like a laser level with an LCD showing off-sets.
Tip 2: Use the mod's Mass Dismantle Mode to select lots of dismantle targets for moving buildings using the Move Buildable feature.
BGU is only active for as long as the Build Gun is active. Light-weight script accessing data from the base game.
I consider these features something which should be part of the base game, but here you go instead via a mod.
More features are coming.

Frequently Asked Questions
Build Gun Utilities not working after update – what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Build Gun Utilities has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
Build Gun Utilities causing crashes in multiplayer – solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Build Gun Utilities v1.9.6 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is Build Gun Utilities compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
Build Gun Utilities uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
