Waste Shielding adds 6 new parts, custom models, a massive MAM tech tree, and many recipes to let you shield and dispose of both types of nuclear waste. Unlock new milestones, automate Mercer spheres, and discover dozens of alternate recipes that don't waste the waste!

Lead ore is refined from sulfur in a Refinery. Unlocked in the HUB under Lead Refinement.
Lead reduction agent is made in a Manufacturer. Unlocked in the HUB under Lead Refinement.
Lead ingots are forged from the previous two parts in a Foundry. Unlocked in the HUB under Lead Refinement.
Lead sheets are assembled from lead and aluminum ingots in an Assembler. Unlocked in the HUB under Lead Refinement.
Shielded waste is assembled from plutonium waste and lead sheets in an Assembler. Unlocked in the MAM under Lead Utilization.
Biowaste is blended from non-fissile uranium in a Blender. Unlocked in the HUB under Bioremediation.
If you don't want to bother with plutonium processing, it's possible to build a bioremediation process that turns your non-fissile uranium into biofuel that you can shove in a Generator. It unlocks a single recipe in the Refinery and two recipes in the Blender, as well as the ability to package and unpackage a new fluid called biowaste in the Packager. Biowaste is nonradioactive and must be turned into biofuel in the Refinery before it can be burned in a Generator.

Waste Shielding is implemented in the production planner of the Satisfactory Calculator. Navigate to the mods tab and choose Waste Shielding from the Mods drop-down menu.
While this mod is simple enough that it should™ work with every other mod, it plays particularly well with the following mods:
Waste Shielding Plus by AniViRus Productions. Adds yet another lead-based part, and plays well with this mod.
MAM Enhancer by Robb and Nogg. Waste Shielding's MAM tree has descriptions of what each alternate on the tree unlocks, and this mod lets you actually read that.
Heavy Fluid Overhaul by Acxd. This mod decimates (literally reduces by a factor of ten) the numbers on all fluids in the game and is explicitly compatible with Waste Shielding.
Nuclear Rework by AniViRus Productions. Incorporates Waste Shielding and several other mods together in a way you may find interesting!
* Enhanced Depot by Acxd. Since Waste Shielding's capstone has to do with the Dimensional Depot, how about yet more space?
As long as sulfur is still an item in your game, Waste Shielding will work with it (including Satisfactory+, though this mod's lead items and that mod's lead items are not the same items). If you're a mod author and use mine as a dependency, let me know on the Satisfactory Modding Discord and I'll integrate your mod into this section!

Find me on the Satisfactory Modding Discord and @ me with your idea. If it's a bug fix, I'll get right on it. If its an involved idea, keep in mind that I probably don't know how to implement it, since I don't code for Unreal. You can also find me over at Ficsit Labs on #kiligir-main if you want to talk about anything. Just @ me there and I'd be happy to talk!

Frequently Asked Questions
Waste Shielding not working after update – what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Waste Shielding has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
Waste Shielding causing crashes in multiplayer – solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Waste Shielding v3.6.1 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is Waste Shielding compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
Waste Shielding uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
