This modpack is in a pre-release state. Until it reaches version 1.0.0, mods may be added and removed as the experience the modpack provides is getting tweaked according to beta testers' feedback.Beta Tester Quotes:
I like it. I mean... like, I hate it because I don't like getting jumpscared, but like if you're asking for opinions on how scary it is, I'd say it is like 10/10 scary.
FAQ
How do I install it?
The best way would be via the modrinth page or github releases. You will need a launcher that supports either modrinth or curseforge packs. We recommend Prism Launcher due to its focus on easy managment of modpacks and instances. In Prism Launcher, on the main interface click on the Add Instance button and select Modrinth as the source. Search for the modpack, select a custom version if you want and click OK to add it.
Shaders?
This modpack supports shaders. The mod selection includes lots of optimization mods similar to optimization focused modpacks like Fabulously Optimized/Simply Optimized, but in forge. The list of included optimization mods was inspired by the Immersed With Shaders modpack.
By default, the modpack comes with the Insanity Shader, which provides a nice atmosphere for this modpack.

Frequently Asked Questions
All The Horrors server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a All The Horrors server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €7.800000000000001/month).
Can I add custom mods to All The Horrors without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.19.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
All The Horrors server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
