About this Modpack

An RPG Modpack that maintains the Vanilla feel!
Dungeons & Crafting is the best modpack for those who want to branch out into the best of modern modded content without going too far from the core Minecraft experience. Featuring eight new classes from the RPG Series mods, with a simple magic and skills system that fits into the vanilla game, two new dimensions in The Aether and The Otherside, dozens of new dungeon structures, and new bosses added by Bosses of Mass Destruction, plus a fully custom quest book that walks new players through the modded content.
Includes integration between all content mods with custom content, tweaked weapon/armor attributes for balanced progression/scaling, custom recipes and mechanics, and tons of config changes to balance and tie all the mods seamlessly together.
I believe this modpack provides the best possible modded experience while still remaining true to the vanilla feel. I began development on this modpack shortly after first getting into modded Minecraft. I searched for a modpack that provided a substantive modded experience, without going overboard and adding too much*. Other modpacks I found claimed to be vanilla+, or a modded enhancement of the classic Minecraft experience, but none felt quite right. As someone who's played thousands of hours in vanilla Minecraft, I wanted something that felt fresh, but also still like the game I know and love. When my search failed, I created for myself that which I had failed to find.
Major mods include the RPG Series and Simply Swords for hundreds of new weapons, armor, relics, & jewelry, including dozens of late-game legendary gear. The difficulty of the game has also been rebalanced to account for this added gear and class abilities. Also, explore a vast and diverse world with hundreds of new structure mods that add to the overworld, nether, and end (YUNG's Better, Dungeons & Taverns, Moog's Structures, etc.). Also enjoy improved world generation with Tectonic & Geophilic, plus new passive mobs to discover. The nether is overhauled with Better Nether, and the end dimension is overhauled with Enderscape, a mod that I believe maintains the vanilla feel of a desolate end dimension (with a datapack to allow both vanilla and modded end cities to spawn). Plus tons of QoL tweaks and extra content with mods like Charm, Supplementaries, and the entire Farmer's Delight suite with all available addons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Dungeons & Crafting server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Dungeons & Crafting server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €7.800000000000001/month).
Can I add custom mods to Dungeons & Crafting without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Dungeons & Crafting server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
