About this Mod

Immersive Lanterns adds the ability to wear Lanterns with the Accessories mod, with dynamic lighting support and custom swinging physics!

Tired of choosing between putting a shield or a torch in your offhand? Simple, just craft a lantern and crouch-right-click to equip to your Accessories slot! The lantern will dangle from your belt and light up the area around you. When you move around in game, the lantern will swing around like a pendulum in third person.

There are a couple mods that add dynamic lighting support to lanterns in a similar way, but Immersive Lanterns is the first to feature full compatibility with Iris shaderpacks that have their own custom dynamic lighting. For example, if you equip a Soul Lantern and use Complementary, you'll get blue lighting!

Immersive Lanterns is available for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1+ on Forge and Fabric. On all platforms, it depends on Accessories and Sodium/Embeddium Dynamic Lights.

How to Install Toni's Immersive Lanterns on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Toni's Immersive Lanterns". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
