About this Mod
Nexus Layer is a library mod and compatibility layer made to ensure functions between my mods stay compatible with eachother. Alone, it is not meant to add any function without a seperate mod or command activating its function.
When used in tandem with my other mods, Nexus Layer primarily adds status effects such as Singed, Malignant, and Scalded, all with entity tags to customize immunity.
It's also used to group modded and unmodded items into tags, in order to detect them if I ever need to use them in the future. This allows for datapacks to be made to bridge compatibility gaps between other mods and my own.
Nexus Layer requires Geckolib in order for certain functions to work.

Nexus Layer server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Nexus Layer compatible with forge?
Nexus Layer officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Nexus Layer – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Nexus Layer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
