About this Mod
群青 Ultramarine
Ultramarine is a cosmetic mod taking inspiration from Ancient Chinese wooden architeture and interior design.
Features
- Hundereds of new building and decorative blocks, including:
- Elements of Ancient Chinese wooden architeture, such as roof tiles, wooden brackets and caihua blocks.
- General building blocks, such as floor tiles, stone blocks of various material and brick blocks.
- Decorations taking inspiration from Chinese culture such as palace lanterns, vases, bonsai plants and censers.
- Chinese style furniture blocks with actual functions such as chest-like cabinats and sittable chairs.
- Vanilla-like texture: all the textures are 16x16 based and can blend well with vanilla blocks.
- Survival mode support:
- Various materials and intermediate items for crafting, obtainable in Survival.
- Crafting recipes and other means for obtaining (almost) all the blocks.
- Three new recipe types for making specific types of blocks and items.
Integrations
- Patchouli: This mod uses Patchouli for guide book support, we strongly recommend using it.
- JEI: Integrations for recipe types added by the mod.
- Jade: Additional information in HUD for some blocks with features.

How to Install Ultramarine on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Ultramarine". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Ultramarine server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Ultramarine compatible with forge and neoforge?
Ultramarine officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1, 1.18.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Ultramarine – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Ultramarine consumes the most tick time.
