About this Mod

Important: This mod requires Geckolib for Fabric. Patchouli is optional, but necessary for the guidebook.

Mod Highlights:
- Adds 74 different kinds of animals and insects to the world.
- Insects and smaller animals can be caught/released by right-clicking them.
- Each species of songbird has its own unique birdsong.
- Small animals can be placed on top of players' heads and on itemframes.
- Rare albino variants.
- Includes a Patchouli book with descriptions/illustrations for each animal.
- Includes a config file that can be used to adjust spawn locations/frequency.
Small animals can be caught by right-clicking on them with an empty hand and will ride on a player's head if placed there ^_^

How to Install Wildlife [Fabric] on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Wildlife [Fabric]". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Wildlife [Fabric] consumes the most tick time.
