Material Rule Compiler is an experimental worldgen optimization mod, that works to improve surface builder times by compiling material rules into static functions.
Does the mod change world generation? The mod maintains vanilla parity, including with any datapacks. Do keep in mind, Vanilla non-determinism.
Can I use custom worldgen mods with this? Yes, the mod will fallback to normal execution where it encounters modded content. Though, it is possible to have mod incompatibilites. I do test against major worldgen mods like terratonic etc.
Note Fast Noise is needed for optimal speed
Material Rule Compiler is part of Reverie Projects, check out our other mods as well.
How does this mod work?
Material rule compiler compiles material rules into classfiles using asm library, optimized for every unique set of biomes. It also reduces allocations for random splitters in material rules and predicts biomes for material rules.
How fast is it?
About 30-40% decrease in surface builder execution times.

Material Rule Compiler server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Material Rule Compiler compatible with fabric and quilt?
Material Rule Compiler officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 26.3, 26.3-rc-3, 26.3-rc-2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Material Rule Compiler – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Material Rule Compiler consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
