An independently maintained continuation of BetterEnd for modern Minecraft versions
BetterEnd: New Dawn is an unofficial continuation of BetterEnd for Fabric and NeoForge.
The project continues maintenance of the original BetterEnd experience with bug fixes, compatibility improvements, loader-specific changes, and support for modern Minecraft versions.
Check the Versions tab before downloading and make sure you select the correct file for your Minecraft version and mod loader.
Latest BetterEnd Content on Every Supported Version
New Dawn includes all content introduced in the latest BetterEnd releases across every supported Minecraft version - including Minecraft 1.21.1.

- Snow Golems can now be built using Dense Snow.
- Amaranita is now renewable: 1 Amaranita Hymenophore → 4 Small Amaranita Mushrooms.
- Added proper enchanting support for Aeternium, Crystalite, Terminite and Thallasium armor.
- Hammers now support Efficiency, Fortune, Silk Touch, Unbreaking and Mending.
- Added composting support for additional BetterEnd foliage and mushroom blocks.
- [Suggestion] Amaranita stems are now correctly recognized as axe-mineable blocks.
- [Suggestion] Umbrella Cluster Juice now uses the proper drinking animation and behavior.
- [Bug] Fixed the Flammalix inventory model using the block texture instead of the correct item texture.
- [Bug] Restored Brimstone random ticking, allowing Sulphur Crystals to grow correctly.
- [Bug] Fixed broken End Crystal textures when placed on pedestals.

- Improved compatibility with player animation mods by separating the armored elytra renderer from the vanilla Elytra render layer.

About BetterEnd
BetterEnd expands and refreshes The End by adding new biomes and enhancing existing ones. Each biome has its own atmosphere, resources, and mobs. The mod also includes custom music, sounds, and effects to make exploration feel alive and interesting.
BetterEnd includes a custom End world generator and custom Central Island structures. With the new generator, End islands can have different shapes, terrain, and heights. Inside islands you can find caves with unique resources.

How to Install BetterEnd: New Dawn on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.3).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "BetterEnd: New Dawn". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

BetterEnd: New Dawn server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is BetterEnd: New Dawn compatible with fabric and neoforge and quilt?
BetterEnd: New Dawn officially supports fabric, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.3, 26.2, 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with BetterEnd: New Dawn – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if BetterEnd: New Dawn consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
