About this Mod
Immersive Messages is an API for mod developers and modpack creators to get information directly to the player--by rendering it right on their screen with subtitles!
This mod integrates with the custom font rendering Caxton (note: not on Curseforge yet, you will need to download manually if you want fancy fonts!) to provide a system for modpack creators and mod devs to give stylized and immersive experiences to their players.
This mod also provides a built in animation system with transition effects, text effects such as shaking and waving, and full control over the size/color/position of all text on the screen. All messages can also be sent over the network from server -> client using either the direct mod API, or, if you aren't a coder, using the built-in default Minecraft command /immersivemessages.
What you use it for is up to you! Check out what's possible in the showcase video above.

Immersive Messages API server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Immersive Messages API compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Immersive Messages API officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1, 1.20. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Immersive Messages API – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Immersive Messages API consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
