About this Mod
This mod is client-only, installing it on a dedicated server does nothing.
When this mod is installed, it will add a few new things to the "Open to LAN" Gui, which then allows the user to start the LAN game on a specific port, and also provides an option to disable the "online mode".
In addition, it allows you to enable or disable PVP and set the maximum number of players.
Since version 1.9, if you are using the "offline mode", you can enable an option that prefers the UUID from Microsoft/Mojang where possible. This avoids loss of inventory contents when switching from online mode to offline mode.
Since 1.20.5, Minecraft requires Java 21.
From 1.18.1 to 1.20.4, Minecraft requires Java 17.
1.17.1 requires Java 16.
Older versions work on Java 8.

Does LAN Server Properties need to be installed on the Minecraft server?
No. Modrinth marks LAN Server Properties as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.
Which version and loader does LAN Server Properties require?
Use a file for forge, neoforge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 1.21.3, 1.21.2, 1.21.1. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.
LAN Server Properties is not working – what should I check?
First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
