About this Mod

Grid Inventory

info

Grid Inventory is a mod that allows you to customize how many grid slots an item occupies inside the player inventory.

Inspired by games such as Diablo, Kenshi, and Escape from Tarkov, this mod introduces a grid-based inventory system designed to increase difficulty, decision-making, and immersion.
It only affects the player inventory and does not interfere with chests or other storage-related mods.
All item sizes are fully customizable by the player.

More features will be added over time.
If you encounter any issues or have suggestions, feel free to contact the author.

Main Features

Items can occupy multiple inventory slots, and their size can be freely customized

Fully intuitive command-based configuration:

/savaruinv clear [(hand | item | tag)]

/savaruinv get [(hand | item | tag)]

/savaruinv list /savaruinv reload

/savaruinv size [(hand | item | tag)]

Only affects the player inventory

(Does not apply to Creative Mode, chests, or other storage types β€” this will become configurable in the future)

Modified item footprints visually reflect item rarity and color

Does not affect hotbar quick switching
Can be safely used alongside inventory-sorting mods

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Grid Inventory need to be installed on the Minecraft server?

No. Modrinth marks Grid Inventory as unsupported on the server side. Install it only in your local Minecraft mods folder. Your server can remain unchanged unless the mod page lists an additional dependency.

Which version and loader does Grid Inventory require?

Use a file for fabric, forge, neoforge and your exact Minecraft version. Supported versions include 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Files for different loaders are not interchangeable.

Grid Inventory is not working – what should I check?

First check the Minecraft version, loader version and required dependencies. Put the .jar file in your local .minecraft/mods folder and remove older duplicates. Because this mod is client-side, adding server RAM will not fix it.
